Patrick School 5-star recruit Zion Cruz is on his way to play prep basketball in California at Kanye West’s newly formed Donda Academy. Adam Zagoria confirmed that Cruz is leaving New Jersey to play on a team that features a number of high-profile recruits. Cruz started his high school basketball career at Hudson Catholic before moving to Oak Hill Prep and spent last year at the Patrick School. Cruz averaged 16.7 points per game for the Celtics in 12 games playing in the shortened 2021 New Jersey high school basketball season due to the pandemic.

Cruz has 20 Division I basketball offers and is set to make a visit to Memphis October 13th.
