Summit 7 Rumson-Fair Haven 2 | Boys
The Bulldogs had no answers for the Hilltoppers’ vaunted defense in this huge showdown of returning state champions. Summit (9-2) allowed their second lowest goal total of the season thank to a great outing from the poles and a 14-save day via sophomore goalie Robbie Kievit. Rumson-Fair Haven (10-2), who came in averaging 13 goals per game, was held scoreless into the fourth quarter. Sean McCeney paced Summit’s offense with three goals – it was his second hat trick of the season.
