It’s time to turn the calendar over to May, and with that, comes big games on the schedule. We’ll have highlights from the clash of two reigning state champions in Union County along with a high-octane affair from the Colonial Valley Conference. Check out our full coverage below!

Summit 7 Rumson-Fair Haven 2 | Boys

The Bulldogs had no answers for the Hilltoppers’ vaunted defense in this huge showdown of returning state champions. Summit (9-2) allowed their second lowest goal total of the season thank to a great outing from the poles and a 14-save day via sophomore goalie Robbie Kievit. Rumson-Fair Haven (10-2), who came in averaging 13 goals per game, was held scoreless into the fourth quarter. Sean McCeney paced Summit’s offense with three goals – it was his second hat trick of the season.

Mercer County was home to one of the most high-scoring affairs so far this season. Reese Parker buried two consecutive goals late in the fourth quarter to lift Notre Dame (9-3) past Princeton Day (10-3) in a barnburner. Parker scored a game-high seven goals in the win, while Amelia Eilbacher tacked on four more. PDS had four players score hat tricks – that unit was led by Tessa Caputo and her five goals.
