Pitman 1 Ocean City 0 | 50th Joe Hartmann Diamond Classic 1st Round

The Panthers leaned on timely hitting, great defense, and solid pitching as they pulled off the upset on the road against the tenth-seeded Red Raiders. Hudson Rue delivered the game’s only run in the third inning, and tossed 5 1/3 shutout innings on the mound. Nick Watson shut the door with a five-out save for 23-seed Pitman (11-4). Travis Large allowed one run over four innings with ten strikeouts in the loss for Ocean City (9-5). Pitman will face 26-seed Northern Burlington in the second round of the Diamond Classic later this week.

Chris Levonas pitched five no-hit innings striking out 11 and Shane Langan closed out the shutout giving up just one hit and striking out five to give CBA a split in the two game series with the Mustangs.  CBA got two runs in the top of the 2nd and added two more on a Will Fahey 2-run triple in the 4th.
