Al-Amir Dawes scored a career-high 28 points and was the driving force for the Celtics as Patrick School handed Elizabeth its first loss this season while also advanceing to the Union County finals. (1) Roselle Catholic 64 (5) Union Catholic 43 – Union County Semifinal

Roselle Catholic had three scorers hit double digits and used a 22-8 run in the third quarter to pull away from Union Catholic in the Union County semifinals. Colby Rogers (17), Kahlil Whitney (15) and Richie Greaves (11) were the leading scorers. Roselle Catholic will defend their Union County crown Saturday against Patrick School. (2) Trenton Catholic 85 (3) Notre Dame 57 – Mercer County Semifinal

Trenton Catholic advanced to its sixth straight Mercer County Tournament Final with an 85-57 win over Notre Dame. The Iron Mike’s were headlined Junior sensation Jamir Watkins and Butler University commit Khalif Battle. Watkins had 24 points while Battle had 27. JSZ’s Nery Rodriguez has the highlights:

(1) Trenton 58 (4) Hopewell Valley 50 – Mercer County Semifinal

 Number one seed Trenton advanced to their first Mercer County Tournament Final since 2011 with a 58-50 win over Hopewell Valley. The Tornadoes scraped by in the first two quarter to take a 30-28 lead at halftime. In the third Nassir Hodge with back to back threes helped Trenton fall more into rhythm to eventually gain a comfortable lead. Hodge finished with 15 points. JSZ’s Nery Rodriguez has the highlights:

(1) St. John Vianney 53 (4) Manasquan 51 – Shore Conference Tournament Semifinal

The St. John Vianney Lancers went into Tuesday night’s SCT Semifinal wanting revenge. Last year, the Manasquan Warriors defeated the SJV Lancers during the SCT Final. However, Tuesday’s Semifinal was a close game. Manasquan had the lead up until the fourth quarter. SJV’s freshman Madison St. Rose, scored five points early on in the fourth, taking hold of the lead. The Lancers were able to hold on, winning the game by two points. William & Mary commit, Brelynn Bellamy, scored the team-high with 17 points. Quinnipiac University commit Sajada Bonner scored 11 points along with St. Rose. Fordham University commit Sarah Karpell was right behind them with 10 points. (3) Manchester 62 (2) St. Rose 45 – Shore Conference Tournament Semifinal

The Manchester Hawks advanced to their first ever SCT Final in program history on Tuesday night. Manchester’s West Virginia University commit, Leilani Correa, scored 30 points for the Hawks, leading them to their Semifinal victory. Destiny Adams and Serenity Anderson scored the second highest number of points, each with 11. The Hawks will head to Monmouth University on Saturday night to take on St. John Vianney for the Shore Conference Final. JSZ’s Madison Bess has the highlights and post-game reaction from Toms River:
