The New Jersey girls soccer state playoffs kicked off on Tuesday. JSZ has opening round action for our All-Access members. Check back throughout the day as the highlights come in!
Middle Twp. 4 Barnegat 0 | South Group 2
The fifth-seeded Panthers pounced on the 13th-seeded Bengals early and often on their way to an opening round victory. Sophomore Olivia Sgrignioli scored a pair of goals to lead the way for the Panthers in the win. Eva Dimitrov and Kailey Sanchez also scored goals in the win for Middle Twp. (13-5-1). The Panthers advance to the Group 2 South quarterfinals on Friday where they will play the winner of Oakcrest and Cinnaminson.

The eighth-seeded Raiders hopped out to a 3-0 lead in the first half and didn’t look back en route to their second win over the No. 9 seed Bees in 2021. Grace Kennedy, Gabby Palermo, Gia Milano and Emily Friscia (two goals) were the goalscorers for Scotch Plains-Fanwood (8-5-3) in the win. The Raiders will face top-seeded Watchung Hills in the quarterfinals on Friday.
