Montclair Kimberley showed some real grit in their biggest win to date in the 2021 season.
Down 2-0 to Gill St. Bernard’s at the half, the Cougars roared back with three consecutive goals – headlined by Koome Murungi’s 98th minute golden goal – to win the Prep B championship in a 3-2 thriller.
Forward Omar Martinez was an offensive catalyst all match long for MKA and assisted on all three Cougar goals. Murungi came away with two goals of his own in the win.
Gavin Scavino scored a pair of first half goals for the Knights that gave GSB the early lead.
