Middletown South 15 Manasquan 12

Tom Schork’s game-winning touchdown run with less than 30 seconds remaining in regulation capped off one heck of a win for Middletown South to open the 2021 season. Schork combined for over 200 yards of offense and was backed up by a stifling Eagles defense all night.

JSZ’s Jay Cook has the highlights and reaction from The Swamp:

North Brunswick 56 South Brunswick 21

The annual rivalry matchup between North and South Brunswick never fails to disappoint. In the 2021 meeting between these Middlesex County foes, scoring wasn’t a problem. North would take a 21-7 lead by the second quarter, but South Brunswick would tie that game at 27 in the second half. The fourth quarter saw the Raiders capitalize on two defensive turnovers to eventually lead by 35 late. Jayden Myers had three touchdowns while Marquis Perry finished with two. Tamir Jenkins ended the night with a forced fumble recovery, a strip return for a touchdown and a rushing score.

JSZ’s Nery Rodriguez has the highlights:
