We’re down to the state semifinals as sectional champions look to punch a ticket to Kean University for Saturday’s state finals. Jersey Sports Zone has coverage of Manasquan vs. Haddonfield in Group 2 and Princeton vs. Eastern in Group 4.
Haddonfield 14 Manasquan 9 – Group 2 State Semifinal
The No. 5 Bulldawgs built an 11-3 halftime lead and then held off the No. 19 Warriors down the stretch. Gabi Conner led the way with five goals in the win for the Haddons. Caroline Beckett, Mia Rothstein and Ashley Campo all chipped in with two goals apiece. Janie Cowley scored four goals for Manasquan in the loss. No. 17 Eastern 9 No. 16 Princeton 8 – Group 4 State Semifinal
The Eastern Vikings defeated the Princeton Tigers 9-8 on Thursday afternoon, advancing to the Group 4 State Final. Cincinnati commit, Dani Mlkvy, scored three goals for Eastern. Freshman University of North Carolina field hockey commit, Ryleigh Heck, scored two goals. Princeton’s Fairfield commit, Eva Petrone, scored three goals as well.
