(2) Delbarton 7 (3) Seton Hall Prep 5 – Non-Public A North Semifinal
Delbarton blasted out to a 5-0 lead early after Seton Hall Prep rallied for five runs to tie the game up in the fourth inning. Senior third baseman Justin Kim provided the game-winning run after his sacrifice fly gave the Green Wave a 6-5 lead before Kyle Vinci’s RBI triple in the sixth inning. Vanderbilt commit Jack Leiter threw perfect frames in the sixth and seventh innings to notch the save. Delbarton will play the winner of Don Bosco Prep vs. Bergen Catholic in the sectional final on Friday night. JSZ’s Jay Cook has the highlights from Morristown:
(3) Schalick 8 (2) Maple Shade 3 – Group 1 South Semifinal
Trailing 3-2 and down to their final out, the Cougars rallied for six runs to win it. Freshman Jarrett Pokrovsky tied the game with a single, before Seton Hall commit Staus Pokrovsky gave Schalick the lead with an RBI walk. Staus Pokrovsky also hit a two-run homer in the ballgame. Derek Andrada struck out 11 for the Wildcats in the loss.
