Conference tournament action continues with the semifinal round of the boys Shore Conference Tournament, and the girls Cape-Atlantic League Tournament.


Toms River North 60 Red Bank Catholic 42 | Boys | Shore Conference Tournament Semifinal

Toms River North forward Najae Hallenbeck again dominated the paint with 22 points and 13 rebounds and was a driving force in the Mariners punching a ticket to the Shore Conference Tournament final, their first since 1996. Senior Jakari Spence also had 16 points for TR North in the win.

Manasquan 44 Holmdel 40 | Boys | Shore Conference Tournament Semifinal

Top-seeded Manasquan advanced to Shore Conference Tournament championship game with a comeback win over (4) Holmdel. The Warriors trailed by as many as 10 in the third quarter before tying the game late in the fourth. Alex Galvan, in his first game back after missing the last five with a shin injury, finished with 16 points, while Ben Roy had 14. Manasquan heads back to the SCT final a year after falling to TOC winner Ranney. JSZ’s Nery Rodriguez has the highlights:

Mainland 42 Wildwood Catholic 40 | Girls | Cape-Atlantic League Tournament Semifinal

Mainland is the #4 seed in the Cape-Atlantic League Tournament, but it’s hard to consider the Mustangs an underdog with McDonald’s All-American and Oregon commit Kylee Watson leading the way. Watson and company edged the top-seeded Crusaders to advance to the CAL Tournament final. Cadence Fitzgerald scored a team-high 14 points for the Stangs in the victory. Marianna Papazoglou and Gabby Turco scored 15 points and 14 points respectively for Catholic in the loss.

Atlantic City 40 Ocean City 33 | Girls | Cape-Atlantic League Tournament Semifinal

Ciani Redd-Howard led a balanced Vikings attack with 12 points, as third-seeded Atlantic City punched a ticket to the Cape-Atlantic League Tournament final. Marin Panico scored a game-high 14 points for the second-seeded Red Raiders in the loss. The Vikings will face fourth-seeded Mainland for the CAL championship on Saturday at Stockton University.
