Trenton Catholic 72 Trenton 57 | Mercer County Boys Championship

(1) Trenton Catholic (19-4) defeated (6) Trenton (16-9) 72-57 to capture their third Mercer County Tournament trophy in  four years. After a tightly contested first quarter, TCPA jumped out to a 37-27 lead at halftime. The Iron Mike’s would go on to lead by as many as 30 in the second half as Jameel Morris finished the night with 26 points. Ewing 51 Notre Dame 46 | Mercer County Girls Championship

(1) Ewing (21-1) raised their first Mercer County Tournament Title in 30 years with a 51-46 victory over (3) Notre Dame (17-6). The Blue Devils led 17-6 at halftime and controlled the pace of the game behind a standout performance from sophomore Rhian Stokes. Stokes winning MVP honors finished with 25 points. Manasquan 53 Red Bank Catholic 47 | Shore Conference Tournament Boys Semifinal

Freshman Darius Adams had 26 points including 10 of the Warriors 11 points in the 4th quarter to give the 2-time defending Shore Conference champions another trip to the title game. Manasquan’s 2021 tournament title is not officially recognized due to the pandemic but the 2020 champs will face Marlboro for a second straight year this Sunday at 3:00 pm at RWJ Barnabas Health Arena. Marlboro 45 CBA 37 | Shore Conference Tournament Boys Semifinal

The Mustangs roared back from a seven-point halftime deficit to earn a spot in the championship game. Jack Seidler and Jay Ratner each had 12 with Jon Spatola adding 11. Spatola hit a pair of three-pointers in the third to draw the Mustangs even at 23. Ratner put the Mustangs ahead for good late in the third quarter as Marlboro improved to 22-2 on the season.
