Westfield 59 Scotch Plains-Fanwood 56 | Boys | North 2 Group 4 Quarterfinal

Theo Sica led four Blue Devils in double digits with 17 and Westfield weathered a 14-0 Scotch Plains-Fanwood run in the fourth quarter to advance to the North 2 Group 4 semifinals.  The Blue Devils had a 10-point lead at the end of three quarters and were up 13 early in the 4th before the Raiders scored 14 straight.  Matt Nervi’s three-pointer gave Scotch Plains-Fanwood a 52-51 lead.  Sica responded with a pair of free throws to give Westfield the lead back and Tyshawn Pearson made a key basket to put the Blue Devils up three.  In the end, Westfield made enough free throws to hang on and earn a home game against Newark East Side in the North 2 Group 4 semifinal.
