We’ve got another hockey state playoff game as Middletown South scored a pair of goals early in the second period to top Mahwah.  Watch all the highlights from the Middletown Sports Complex!

Middletown South 2 Mahwah 1 | Public “B” First Round

Lucas Campos and Justin Ferlanti scored goals 20 seconds apart early in the second period and the Eagles outshot the Thunderbirds 36-13 to earn a spot in the Public B quarterfinals for a seventh straight year.  Jack Kunisch gave Mahwah a 1-0 lead at the end of one before Campos and Ferlanti struck in the first two minutes of the second.  Mahwah goalie Jack Drager was tremendous with 34 saves, but the Eagles are through to face archrival Middletown North on Monday night with a spot in the final four on the line.  The Lions and Eagles split in the regular season.
