Elizabeth 38 Linden 35 | Boys

Elizabeth (9-6) defeated rival No. 14 Linden (14-4) 38-35 in a close Union County Conference Watchung Division showdown. Linden led 17-12 at halftime and went by as many as nine in the third quarter, but Elizabeth rallied back to not only tie the game, but was able to take a 30-24 lead entering the fourth. In the final quarter the Minutemen despite missing crucial free throws late were able to hold on for the win. A sold out crowd witnessed Elizabeth Head Coach Phil Collichio take down his former team of twenty plus years for a tenth straight time.

Woodstown 45 Gloucester Catholic 40 (OT) | Girls

With Gloucester Catholic head coach Lisa Gedaka one win away from breaking the all-time South Jersey record, the Wolverines spoiled the party on their home floor. Shannon Pierman scored at the buzzer to force OT, as she finished with ten points. Talia Battavio led Woodstown (11-4) with a team-high 15 points in the win. Katherine Lange scored a team-high 15 points for the Rams (11-5) in the loss.
