The final day of the 2025-2026 high school sports season brings us back to Rutgers University for the public baseball state championships. Check back for the best of Championship Sunday as the highlights are posted throughout the night!

Ramsey 4 Gov. Livingston 2 | Group 2 State Final

JSZ’s Rich Chrampanis will have full coverage later tonight!

Old Tappan 5 Brick Memorial 0 | Group 3 State Final

Columbia commit Selden Kolkebeck saved his best for last to power the Golden Knights to their first state championship since 2008, and second in program history. The senior tossed his second-straight complete game shutout as he scattered four hits and racked up ten strikeouts, including his 200th career K, in the victory. Kolkebeck scored on a wild pitch in the first to open the scoring and capped the day with a two RBI single in the seventh for Old Tappan (26-4). Brick Memorial had a great run come to an end as they finish the year with the program’s first sectional title, first state final appearance, and a mark of 25-8.

Ridgewood 7 Kingsway 6 | Group 4 State Final

For the third time in two days, Ridgewood are state champions. Fresh off a walk-off home run in the state semifinal, Hudson Feeney drove in three runs in the top of the first inning to spark the Maroons to a seven-run lead. Kingsway (24-6) battled back to within one run, but Brady Ross slammed the door in relief, sealing Ridgewood’s (25-7) first state championship since 2023.

Point Pleasant Beach 10 Pompton Lakes 4 | Group 1 State Final

For the first time in the school’s 100+ year history, Point Pleasant Beach are New Jersey state baseball champions! The Garnet Gulls defeated Pompton Lakes 10-4 in Sunday’s Group 1 final at Rutgers, avenging their loss to the cardinals in the 2024 state title game.

Point Beach was down 3-0 after one half inning, but bounced back with authority, scoring five runs in the bottom half to take a lead they would not give up the rest of the way. Antonio Acevedo led the team with four RBIs on the afternoon. Thomas Slobicki and Carson Pfeifer each brought home two. Bennett Moberg got the win on the mound for the Gulls with 4 IP, 4 ER, 4 H, and 2 K. Tommy Conroy pitched the final three innings to get the save, allowing no hits.
