Rumson-Fair Haven 2 Shore Regional 1 | Shore Conference Tournament 1st Round

The Bulldogs used a pair of sacrifice flies and stellar defense to hold off their divisional rival and advance to the SCT quarterfinals.  After Reece Moroney gave RFH a 1-0 lead on a sacrifice fly, the Bulldogs threw out two Shore runners at home to preserve the lead.  Rumson 3rd baseman Aaron Del Tin made an incredible diving play at third base and the Bulldogs took a 2-0 lead on a Brayden Dill sacrifice fly in the 6th.  Shore scored in the top of the 7th on a CJ Sears infield single but Matt Bruno was able to lock down the save by getting out of a bases loaded jam.  Jackson Hinchcliffe threw five shutout innings to get the win.  RFH will host Jackson Memorial on Monday in the SCT quarterfinals.

Holl had five strikeouts – three of which came in the bottom of the seventh – to preserve the win for third-seeded West Morris (15-6).
