The girls soccer state championships take center stage at Franklin High School on Saturday. JSZ brings you two great games with Shawnee and Westfield capturing state titles!
Westfield 1 Eastern 0 | Group 4 State Championship
Emilie Cardigan’s shot from 15 yards out clanked off the post with 2:05 left to give the Blue Devils their fourth state title in girls soccer. On a windy day at Franklin High, the Blue Devils had the lion’s share of scoring opportunities. Eastern keeper Araba Abanyie was outstanding in goal with nine saves in a losing effort. Westfield finishes the season with a stellar 20-1 record.

Shawnee 3 Northern Highlands 0 | Group 3 State Championship
Madelynn Sadusky scored in the first half and Eva Matesich added a pair of goals in the second to give Shawnee a perfect 25-0 season and the school’s first ever girls soccer state championship. Mackenzie Borbi had 4 saves for the shutout, the 19th clean sheet of the season for the Renegades.
