Don Bosco Prep 21 Bergen Catholic 20

What. A. Game. Don Bosco Prep created bedlam in Bergen County Saturday afternoon with an unforgettable, shocking win over Bergen Catholic. Jayden Bellamy’s two first-half touchdowns had the Crusaders up 14-0 at the break. But the Ironmen rallied in the second half. Jake Robbins’ 26-yard touchdown pass to Ethan Acevedo as time expired tied the game late before Thomas Sawicki’s extra point sealed the win.

Willingboro 20 Ramapo 19

Paulsboro 36 Haddon Heights 0 | WJFL Pod “D” Semifinal

Bhayshul Tuten ran wild for the Red Raiders, going off for 239 yards and five touchdowns in the first half alone. Paulsboro stays undefeated on the season and advances to face Salem next Saturday in a West Jersey Football League playoff pod championship game.

Rumson-Fair Haven 28 Colts Neck 14 | Shore Conference “B” Pod Semifinal

Josh Harmon threw two TD passes to Patrick Jamin and John Voker ran for 115 yards and a score as RFH handed the Cougars their first loss of the season. RFH raced out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter but the Cougars were able to battle back to within 21-14 at the half. RFH put together an 11-minute drive in the second half and put the game away on Jamin’s second TD grab in the fourth quarter. JSZ’s Rich Chrampanis has the highlights from Colts Neck:


Holmdel 20 Manasquan 13

Coming in with a 5-1 record the Hornets still were looking for a statement win for their program. Who better than to test themselves against than the 12x State Champions and perennial Shore Conference contender Manasquan. Despite going down a score early, Holmdel scored 20 unanswered points as Christian Donnelly threw for one touchdown and scored another off an interception. Jhamier Howard had two touchdowns for Manasquan in the loss.

Red Bank Regional 31 Hackensack 12

Nick Ferrogine had three touchdown catches and Owen Laughlin threw four TD’s to give the Bucs their second win in a game featuring two schools returning following a COVID-19 shutdown. RBR did not practice for the last 10 days and had no time on the field to prepare for the Group 5 Comets yet turned out their best effort of the 2020 season. Camden 18 Timber Creek 7

The High picked up its fourth-straight win with a well-rounded performance against the Chargers. Jalin Brownlee put together a solid day through the air, passing for 211 yards and two touchdowns, before leaving the game due to injury. The Camden defense played well throughout the afternoon, forcing two turnovers and keeping Timber Creek’s offense in check. Camden takes on Ocean City in the WJFL Pod “B” Final next week.
