JSZ kicks off the final week of January with a Shore Conference showdown between St. Rose and Manasquan, plus play-in round action from the Essex County Tournament!

St. Rose 63 vs. Manasquan 44 | Boys

No. 1 St. Rose (16-1) picked up a 16th straight win following a 63-44 victory over Manasquan (13-2). 14 points from senior Gio Panzini in the first half gave St. Rose a 33-14 lead at the break. Panzini finished with 17 points as the Purple Roses maintained a double digit lead throughout the second half. Villanova commit Matt Hodge finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double while Jayden Hodge finished with 15 points.

Montclair 66 Montclair Kimberley Academy 57 | Boys | Essex County Tournament Play-In

The Mounties fended off a late charge from the Cougars to pick up their third-straight win and advance in the Essex County Tournament. Ben Price poured in a game-high 21 points, while Jahi Whitney added 19 points in the victory. Martin Quiros had a clutch three-point play and finished with 11 points for Montclair (8-5). Van Girton-Marshall hit five triples on his way to a team-high 17 points for MKA (10-5). Montclair will face Orange in the final play-in round of the Essex County Tournament later this week.
