Montgomery 78 College Achieve 62 | Boys

Montgomery stunned the state with a 78-62 win over No. 10 College Achieve Asbury Park. Despite a 19 point first half from LaSalle commit Deuce Jones, College Achieve trailed 39-35 after two quarters. Jones would finish the game with 24 points as Montgomery went on a 20-1 run at one point in the fourth quarter. Sophomore Ethan Lin led all scorers with 25 points, Jack Fromelt finished with 24 points, including six three pointers and Steve Donahue had 19 points on the day.

Red Bank Catholic 50 Ewing 46 | Girls | Hoops for Hope Showcase

Addy Nyemchek blocked a potential game tying layup in the final 10 seconds and started the transition to Lola Giordano’s basket with five seconds left to seal RBC’s win in a matchup of two top-10 ranked teams.  Nyemchek had a complete game with 14 points, 7 rebounds, 4 asssits, 3 blocks and 3 steals.  Rhian Stokes led the Blue Devils with 25 points with Te’Yala Defosse adding 17 points and 9 rebounds.
