Summit 9 Rumson-Fair Haven 1 – Group 2 Boys State Championship

Tom Fischetti had a hat trick and Summit broke open the game with a five-goal fourth quarter to earn the Group 2 state title.  RFH goalie Sean Bunnell made 14 saves and kept the Hilltoppers off the scoreboard for a quarter and a half, but Summit was able to score three times in the final seven minutes to take a 3-0 lead at the break.  Will Vitton had nine saves for Summit and shut out RFH for the first three quarters.  JSZ has the highlights from West Long Branch of Summit’s state title:

Watchung Hills 10 Lenape 3 – Group 4 Boys State Championship

It’s been a year of firsts for Watching Hills lacrosse. The Warriors captured their first North Group 4 sectional title just days ago, now they can add the State Champs to their resume as well after a 10-3 win over South title holder’s Lenape. Watchung got some help from Seniors Connor James, who scored 4 times and Brian Richmond earned himself a Hat Trick. Watch the highlights now:

Pingry 10 Immaculata 3 – Non-Public “B” State Championship

No. 18 Pingry is no strangers to hoisting championships. Wednesday night top-seeded Big Blue won it’s fourth straight Non- Public B State Title with a dominating win over Immaculata. This young squad was led by Kalman Kraham, the speedy sophomore scored a hat trick in Pingry’s 10-3 win over the Spartans. Watch the highlights now:

Delbarton – 15 Seton Hall Prep – 10 | Non-Public A Final

Matt Campbell was a man on a mission, the senior midfielder scored 5 first half goals sparking Delabrton to a 15-10 win over Seton Hall Prep. The win marked The Green Wave’s 3rd straight Non-Public A Title and added to a historic year in sports at Delbarton School, winning State Championships in Soccer, Hockey and now on the Lacrosse field. Mountain Lakes – 16 Manasquan – 7 | NJSIAA Group-1 Final

Mountain Lakes was searching for it’s 2nd State Title in three years and it’s 13th overall in school history. Standing in the Lakers way? Manasquan High School and their sharp shooting junior Canyon Birch coming in with 122 goals on the season. Not only did the Laker’s defense hold Birch to just one goal, but the offense posted 16 scores of their own, led by 6 from Mike Cabana to get the victory.
