East Brunswick – 8 South Brunswick – 0

Scott Dessel pitched a comeplete game shutout with seven strikeouts leading East Brunswick to a 8-0 win over rival South Brunswick. The Bears offense that put up 8 runs on 13 hits was powered by a home run from Diego Garcia Ceballos in the 3rd to break a 0-0 tie, and David Bermudez with a 2-Run HR in the 6th. Hamilton West 5 Nottingham 4

Following an 8-1  win over Steinert, Nottingham the Mercer County Tournament favorite was back in action under the lights at DeMeo field for the second night in a row. North Stars had their ace on the mound, Monmouth University commit Nick Houghton, but it was Hamilton’s game early as they jumped out to a 5-0 lead. The North Stars would make it 5-4, but the Hornets being led by Tim Sharpley kept it a close game with his five strikeouts as he did not surrender the lead through the final three innings. Keansburg 10 Keyport 4 (8 innings)
