Old Bridge 2 South Brunswick 1 – Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament Championship

Old Bridge captured its first Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament Title since 2011 with a thrilling 2-1 victory over rival South Brunswick. The Knights fell behind 1-0 in the first off a balk, but quickly regrouped on offense to go ahead 2-1 on a fielder’s choice and error in the second inning. Senior Matt Baker who technically allowed the Viking’s only earned run had a different persona after shaking off the early blunder. Baker allowed just five hits and finished with six strikeouts.
