Don Bosco Prep 44 St. Joe’s (Mont.) 35

One of the highest scoring games in this longtime-series’ history produced one of the young seasons’ marquee games. Nick Minicucci produced 340 passing yards, three touchdown passes and a touchdown run to power Don Bosco (2-1) to a bounce-back win. St. Joe’s Mont. (1-2) lost starting quarterback Luke Henrich to an injury late in the 2nd quarter but controlled the ground game with 188 rushing yards from their three-headed attack. Both teams combined for 916 total yards in a wild atmosphere at Granatell Stadium.

Nottingham 14 Notre Dame 12

Nottingham picked up their first win of the 2022 season following a thrilling 14-12 victory over WJFL Capitol Division rival Notre Dame. Nottingham would strike first on a 39 yard touchdown pass to Sabri Melvin late in the opening quarter to eventually lead 7-6 at halftime. Trailing 14-6 midway through the fourth, Notre Dame cut the lead to just two, but a failed conversion would ultimately decide the game.
