The playoffs continue and JSZ makes stops at a pair of key games!

Ocean City 7 Pinelands 1 | South Group 3 Quarterfinal

Jessica Mooney threw a complete game, striking out 14 and allowing just two hits to lead the top-seeded Red Raiders into the sectional semifinals. Mooney also had a double and drove in two runs at the plate. Taylor Vaugh had a double and three RBIs for OC (20-8). Jozlyn Peterson scored the lone run of the game for ninth-seeded Pinelands (12-10). Ocean City will host fifth-seeded Shawnee in the next round next week.

Steinert 20 Allentown 0 (5 innings) | Central Group 3 Quarterfinal

(4) Steinert advances to the Central Jersey Group 3 Semifinals with a 20-0 win over (5) Allentown. The Spartans went ahead 12-0 in the first inning following a three run home run from senior Paige Schultz and additional RBI’s from Addison Hassan, Bianca Walsh, Ceara O’Neal and Isabella Bonacci. Hassan, Schultz and Bonacci each finished with three RBI’s. Isabella Bonacci also pitched, finishing with just one hit allowed and seven strikeouts. Steinert advances to take on (1) Colts Neck in the Semifinals.
