We’ve got a big Friday of lacrosse across New Jersey!  Westfield knocks off the number one team in the latest state poll plus RFH avoids an upset bid and Manasquan wins a rivalry battle.


Westfield 10 Seton Hall Prep 9 | Boys

In a week of wild finishes, the best was saved for last as the Blue Devils made a statement by taking down No. 1 ranked Seton Hall Prep. Westfield (3-1) took control of the game in the second and third quarters by outscoring the Pirates 6-3. Westfield goalie Corey Gilford made nine saves and assisted his brother, Christian Gilford, on a spectacular goal just before the half. Cody Lam notched a hat trick for the Blue Devils in the win. Seton Hall Prep (1-3) got a four-goal game from Tyler Juhlin in the loss.

Rumson-Fair Haven 14 CBA 9 | Boys

CBA had RFH on the ropes with an 8-3 halftime lead but the Bulldogs scored seven straight goals after trailing 9-7 to avoid the upset and improve to 6-0.  Andy Croddick scored the go-ahead goal and finished with a hat trick.  JSZ arrived on the scene at 9-8 and brings you the end of the Rumson onslaught:


Manasquan 14 Wall 4 | Boys

Brody Muly, Brandon Kunz and Ryan Aldi all had hat tricks to get the Warriors to 5-0 on the season.  Manasquan had a 3-2 lead at the end of one and scored 11 straight goals in a dominating effort.
