Kingsway 6 St. Augustine 5

The Dragons fell behind 5-0 early, but came roaring back to win it. Binghamton commit Tommy Popoff led the way with three RBIs, including the game-tying double in the 7th inning. Gavin McCaffrey scored the winning run on a wild pitch for Kingsway (5-0). Jake Myers and Brady Jackson each drove in two runs for the Hermits (4-1) in the loss.

Southern 3 Brick Memorial 2

The Rams used a seventh inning rally to storm in front for good and capture a win over a divisional opponent. Southern (5-0) scored all three runs in the top of the seventh from a bases loaded walk and a two-run single by Logan Zeitler. There was some controversy surrounding the go-ahead run scored by Brady Lesiak, but the home plate umpire ultimately ruled in Southern’s favor. Michael Gioia got the start for Brick Memorial (2-3) and pitched four scoreless innings in a no-decision.

Hamilton West 11 Monroe 2

Hamilton West (5-0) remains undefeated following an 11-2 win over Monroe (4-2). The Hornets got out to a 3-1 lead after the first inning and scored two more in the second to go ahead by four. The fourth inning is where West did the most damage, scoring on a pair of two RBI doubles, a sac fly would see them lead 11-1 after the fourth inning. Tyrone Crupi went 3-4 with an RBI, Andrew Maddalena was 2-5 with two RBI’s and Triston Bonilla went 2-3 with two RBI’s as well.
