Cranford 27 Colonia 14

Cranford (5-0) remains undefeated on the season following a 27-14 win over Colonia (4-2). Patriots Quarterback Josh Oluremi picking up two touchdowns had the game tied at 14-14 midway through the third quarter. Will Gallagher making an incredible one-handed touchdown catch off an eight-yard pass from Shane Van Dam in the opening two minutes of the fourth gave Cranford the go-ahead score. Van Dam finished with 161 yards passing and two touchdowns while Gallagher had 6 receptions for 80 yards and a score. Running back Colin Murray also had two touchdowns. Donovan Catholic 36 Wall 19

Griffins QB Jalin Butler had 320 yards of total offense with two touchdown passes and three TD runs to avenge last year’s Shore Conference championship loss to the Crimson Knights. Jackson Coan had 182 yards receiving and three TD’s in a losing effort. Coan’s third TD got Wall within 21-19 early in the third but Donovan Catholic never surrendered the lead. Mysun Rush-Esdaile and Hunter Johnson had TD catches for the Griffins. JSZ’s Rich Chrampanis has the highlights from Toms River:


Central Regional 35 Matawan 6

Chase Gumbrecht topped 100 yards and scored three times to lead the Golden Eagles to a Liberty Division title. Central is off to a 6-0 start, the best in program history. Matawan opened the game with a long TD before the Eagles rolled off 35 unanswered points.
