Union 51 Bridgewater-Raritan 35

Many wondered how two of the best programs in the Mid-State 38 would matchup in a late season meeting, but no one could have predicted the offensive performance that would take place in Bridgewater. A first half that saw no punts had Union leading the Panthers 31-28. In the third quarter the Farmers would get a stop that eventually led to 14 unanswered points and proved to be a deciding factor entering the fourth quarter. Union quarterback Andrew Sanborn finished with 265 passing yards and four touchdowns while Bridgewater-Raritan quarterback Alex Fromberg had 274 yards and four touchdowns as well. Union stays undefeated at 8-0 while the Panthers drop to 4-4. JSZ’s Nery Rodriguez has the highlights:

Dougie Brown ran for a touchdown to give Williamstown a 7-0 halftime lead, before Brendan Amico kicked a field goal to extend the lead to 10-0 in the third quarter. The Braves stopped Shawnee on a late fourth quarter drive, and then Chris Forman scored a touchdown to serve as an exclamation point. Williamstown stays undefeated at (8-0).
