It’s official! Week Seven of the high school football season in New Jersey has come to a close and JSZ has all corners of the state represented in yet another thrilling weekend. We’ve got six more games of action. Watch our teaser then scroll down to watch all the highlights!


Seton Hall Prep 28 St. Joe-Montvale 27

The Pirates executed a double pass on 4th and goal from the 6 that resulted in a Jack Larsen TD catch to give the Pirates a stunning upset over the #2 team in the state polls. Zander Zebrowsky threw for 190 yards and 2 TD’s, both to tight end Dominic Busby and Matt Colonatuono had a TD run and the pass to Larsen in the victory. St. Joe’s Audric Estime ran for 247 yards and 3 TD’s in the loss. JSZ’s Rich Chrampanis takes us through the twists and turns from an NJ Game of the Year candidate:

Peddie 35 Hun 32

Peddie remained undefeated on the year with an exciting 35-32 win over Hun thanks to a late fourth quarter interception from Justin Shorter. Quarterback Matt Sluka finished with 142 passing yards, 156 rushing yards and four touchdowns. JSZ’s Nery Rodriguez has the highlights:

Hillside 53 Bound Brook 0

Hillside continues to prove they’re one of the top teams to beat in Group 2. The Comets closed their regular season out with arguably their most dominant performance of the year, powered by three first-half touchdowns from Fatir Bell. Hillside has outscored their opposition 325-28 through 2019.

St. Joe (Hamm.) 41 Timber Creek 16

Jada Byers turned in another monster performance, scoring four touchdowns to lead the Wildcats past the Chargers. Two of Byers’ scores came on defense, including a 101-yard interception return for a score. Jayden Shertel threw a touchdown pass to Tyrell Russell, with Ahmad Ross finding the end zone in the win for St. Joseph as well.

Parsippany Hills 35 West Essex 7

JD Breslauer continues to light defenses up in his stellar senior season with the Vikings. Breslauer arguably had the best game of the 2019 campaign, tossing 357 yards and five touchdowns in the win. Parsippany Hills (6-2) matches their win total from last year in the victory.

Cedar Creek 47 Delsea 12

It was a sensational Senior Day for Cedar Creek (6-2) as they dominated Delsea (2-5). Senior quarterback Louie Barrios racked up five touchdowns through the air to pace a Pirates offense that resembled a Man-O-War on Saturday afternoon. Senior Manny Reid and sophomore JoJo Bermudez reeled in two touchdowns apiece in the win.
