Cedar Creek 7 Holy Spirit 6

The Pirates turned the tables on the Spartans with a statement victory after losing to Spirit in lopsided fashion a year ago. Defense once again ruled the day for Creek, with C.J. Resto, Kevin Dougherty and Elijah Smalls making plays all over the field. Justin Castillo scored a touchdown in the win for the Pirates (6-0), while Ja’Quan Howard finished with 85 yards rushing. Sean Burns threw a touchdown pass to Elijah Steward for the Spartans (3-2) in the loss.

Burlington Twp. 33 Pennsauken 21

The Falcons celebrated its seniors during pregame, then gave them plenty to celebrate postgame after handing the Indians its first loss of the season. James Madison-commit Anthony Johnson turned in a stellar performance, scoring a pair of touchdowns in the win for Burlington Twp. (3-1). Sophomore QB Dante Viccharelli threw for a pair of touchdowns in the loss for Pennsauken (4-1).

Holmdel 35 Jackson Memorial 16

Luke Dupont’s 50-yard TD run gave the Hornets the lead for good in the third quarter as Holmdel erased an early 13-0 deficit to erupt for 28 second-half points to snap a three-game losing skid. Jaden Gallo had TD runs of 58 and 47 in the second half and Jared Battaglia added a 50-yard TD run as part of a 21 point third quarter for the Hornets. Alex Brown had a touchdown pass and TD run in the first half to stake the Caseys to a 33-0 lead on the way to a third straight dominating victory against a Shore Conference opponent. RBC is now 5-0 on the season. JSZ’s Rich Chrampanis has the highlights from Count Basie Stadium in Red Bank:
