St. Joes Metuchen – 4 Don Bosco Prep – 1 

St. Joseph Metuchen gave a new meaning to playing “lights out” baseball on Saturday night. Falcons had a 1-0 lead after 3 innings when the lights went out at Don Bosco Prep due to an electrical problem, a 20 minute delay followed before play would resume. The lights may have came back on, but the St. Joes defense kept Don Bosco in the dark. The Falcons, led by pitchers Nicolas Estes (Win) and Jake Hellwig (Save), shut down the ironmen offense and got a 4-1 win on the road. Watch the Highlights from Ramsey on JSZ.

Wall 4 Jackson Liberty 3

The Crimson Knights raced out to a 4-3 lead and survived a late-inning rally to hand Jackson Liberty its first loss of the season.  Ryan Napolitano threw 5.1 innings with seven strikeouts before turning things over to Trey Dombroski and a 4-0 lead.  The Lions scored three runs in the 6th, highlighted by a David Melfi two-run homer to cut the lead to 4-3.  Dombroski pitched a 1-2-3 seventh inning to secure the win.  Wall got RBI singles from Doug Wetzel and Andy Lenneper, an RBI double from Grant Shulman and a solo homer courtesy of John Iradi.  Watch the highlights of a great Saturday morning matchup from the Shore Conference:

Shore Regional 12 Ranney 2 (5 innings)

James LaBruno went 4-4 with 4 RBI’s to lead a 16-hit attack by the BlueDevils at the Lakewood BlueClaws First Energy Park.  Shore Regional busted the game open with a seven-run fourth inning.  JSZ has the highlights from the Shore Conference:
