Toms River North 11 Toms River South 8 (11 innings)

Craig Larsen drove in three runs and pitched six innings in relief to give Toms River North its first win of the season in a rivalry game that had many twists and turns.  Larsen started the scoring with a two run bomb to dead centerfield and the Mariners would build a 7-0 lead through five and a half innings.  Jared Bellissimo threw five shutout innings for TRN, but left the game in the 6th.  Larsen came on in relief and Toms River South used aggressive baserunning and a number of infield singles to put together an incredible eight run rally.  TJ Scuderi came on in relief and was one strike away from getting Toms River South the win, but Larsen delivered a clutch RBI double to left to tie the game 8-8 and force extra innings.  After getting roughed up for six runs in the 6th, Larsen would throw five shutout innings and TRN would score three runs in the 11th to get the victory.  JSZ has all the highlights from an exciting rivalry game:
