Championship teams have to be unselfish and think of the team ahead of individual accomplishments. Just hearing the Shore Regional players talk on camera and you can see that they have fully grasped this mentality. Doug Goldsmith could be talking about rushing for 1,000 yards and 20 touchdowns or getting some college offers, but instead he simply says he wants to win the title for head coach Mark Constantino because he’s so committed to Shore Football. James Bedell looked fundamentally sound in the drills that I saw. The Blue Devils have plenty of seasoning when it comes to the journey of a championship run. It is so hard to get to the championship game, and Shore has gotten there a bunch. They can worry about the next step in December, but for now, they need to approach every game like a title is on the line.
