One of New Jersey’s most dynamic athletes has achieved his NBA dream. Look back on the amazing JSZ chronicle of Ranney’s Scottie Lewis and the beginning of his journey to the NBA


Ranney’s Scottie Lewis was selected in the second round of the NBA Draft by the Charlotte Hornets with the #56 overall pick. Lewis spent two seasons at the University of Florida and earned his shot in the NBA thanks to his incredible athleticism and lock-down defensive ability. Lewis teamed with Bryan Antoine (Villanova) to give Ranney its first Tournament of Champions title in 2019. The McDonald’s All-American provided one of the great JSZ mixtapes in our history with his high flying dunks and endless energy:

Lewis had a significant impact off the court. He hosted an annual Hoops for Homeless charity game and organized a peaceful protest in the Black Lives Matter movement in Asbury Park:
