Ramapo 12 Rumson-Fair Haven 11 (OT)

Jack Griffin scored 2:18 into overtime to give Ramapo a state championship and heartbreak to Rumson-Fair Haven.  RFH had an 11-8 goal with 2:26 to go in the fourth quarter, but the Raiders rallied with three goals in the span of 1:24 to force overtime.  The game featured a lot of momentum swings with both teams scoring goals in bunches.  Rumson started with the game’s first four goals, but Ramapo responded with four straight to draw even at the half and added three more goals to lead 7-4 in the third.  The Bulldogs responded with three straight goals to tie the game at seven and put together another four goal string to take an 11-8 lead before Ramapo finished the game four straight tallies.  Bryan Hess had seven goals in a losing effort for RFH, while Andrew Robbins, who will play Division I lacrosse with Hess at Lafayette, led Ramapo with five goals.  Watch an exciting game in our US Army Lacrosse Game of the Week:
