We’ve got an upset in the state softball playoffs as the #8 seed goes on the road to knock off the top seed in Central Jersey Group 3.  Check out all the highlights!

Middletown South 8 Robbinsville 2 | Central Jersey Group 3 Softball Quarterfinal

The Eagles took the lead in the third inning and piled on five runs over the final two frames to knock off the #6 team in the state polls.  Ella Mullane was 3-4 with 2 RBI’s and Francesca Pancione had a three-hit day with 2 RBI’s.  Freshman Riley Smith was outstanding in the circle throwing six shutout innings after giving up two runs in the first striking out six.  The Eagles will travel to Allentown looking to reach the section final.
