A month ago, the Crimson were on the wrong side of a heartbreaking loss to the Pirates. Now, they’ve rebounded and will advance in the state playoffs.

Two goals from Andrew Low in the last five minutes of regulation lifted 11-seed Morristown Beard (14-11-1) to a thrilling 6-5 win over 6-seed Seton Hall Prep (10-12-2) in the first round of the Non-Public state tournament.

Tied 2-2 going into the third period, both teams combined to score seven goals in a wild final frame. Seton Hall Prep led 5-4 thanks to a great goal from Owen Waivada with 8:51 left in regulation, but the goal wasn’t enough.

Morristown-Beard advances to face the winner of Don Bosco Prep-Frisch first round game in the Non-Public quarterfinals on Monday, Feb. 28.
