JSZ catches up on some awards from the fall sports season!
Watchung Hills’ Julia Oliveira Wins Week 6 Top Play Belt!
It takes a pretty special play to capture the Jersey Sports Zone Top Play Belt, but Julia Oliveira certainly earned it. Oliveira ripped a missile right foot shot in the second half of Watchung Hills’ rousing 4-3 OT win over Pingry last week. That play was named the No. 1 Play of the Week on Jersey Sports Zone TV, which aired Oct. 9 on WLNY-TV.

Ayden Shansey had a monster game for Burlington City vs. New Egypt back on September 30th. Shansey threw for over 400 yards and four touchdowns, leading the Blue Devils to victory. Ayden received over 2,000 votes to earn the JSZ South Jersey Week 5 Game Ball.

Nic Lembo, Montclair Kimberley | North Jersey Game Ball
Nic Lembo was a one-man wrecking crew on Oct. 1 when he rushed for 200 yards and three scores in the Cougars’ win over Dalton (NY). Over 1,800 votes came in in support of Lembo to win the JSZ North Jersey Week 5 Game Ball.

Vito Tropeano Jr., Elizabeth | North Jersey Game Ball
Elizabeth’s quarterback put together one of his best performances of the season in Week 4 when he threw for 409 yards and four TD passes in a win against St. Joseph Metuchen. Tropeano Jr. earned over 1,300 votes to win JSZ’s North Jersey Week 4 Game Ball.

Ayden Jones, Hackensack | North Jersey Game Ball
Ayden Jones’ monster performance in Week 2 of the regular season helped lead his Hackensack Comets to a big win over Paterson Kennedy. Jones had a kick return TD plus 240 rushing yards and three additional scores in the win on Sept. 9. Jones had over 4,100 votes, helping him win the JSZ North Jersey Week 2 Game Ball.
