Mike Filippone turned in one of the most productive days of his high school baseball career on April 20. Facing Morris Hills, Filippone went 2-5 at the plate and registered six RBI (including a grand slam) as Hanover Park captured a 17-7 win over the Knights.
Thanks to that effort, Filippone was nominated for and won JSZ’s Week 3 North Jersey Baseball Game Ball. He earned just shy of 7,300 votes for over 50 percent of the voting bloc to win the game ball.
