Don Bosco Prep 12 Ridgewood 4
A truly dominant second half performance fueled the Ironmen to a win of seismic proportions on Thursday. Don Bosco Prep (8-3) scored nine unanswered goals in the second half to pull away from Ridgewood (9-1) to secure the NJILL Gibbs Division crown. The win also gives the Ironmen the unquestioned No. 1 overall ranking in New Jersey to begin the second month of the season. Nine different players scored goals for Don Bosco in the win – headlined by a hat-trick performance from Crispin Kaye. Ironmen goalie Colton Carfello made 13 saves and was spectacular all game long. Ridgewood’s 18-game win streak, which dates back to last season, was snapped in the loss.
