John Dinnocenzo scored Middletown North’s first three goals and the Lions erupted for seven second period goals to score a convincing home win on Friday afternoon. Michael Mooney’s goal late in the first period got Brick Township on the board and put the Dragons down 2-1 at the end of 15 minutes. But the Lions scored back to back shorthanded goals in the opening 1:30 of the second period as Dinnocenzo and Kurt Kroper quickly made it a 4-1 game. The floodgates opened from there as Dinnocenzo finished with 4 goals and 1 assist. Justin Skelly scored twice and Brad Heuer had two goals in the third period.
