St. John Vianney 10 Mount St. Dominic 0 (6 Innings) | Non-Public “A” Softball Final
For the first time since 2014, a softball team has finished the season undefeated. It was an incredible year for St. John Vianney (30-0), and the Lancers capped it off with a convincing win over Mount St. Dominic (29-3). Monmouth commit Madison McDougall was phenomenal once again, striking out 10 batters in a complete-game shutout while also hitting her 17th home run of the season. Gabby Gonzalez added to the excitement with a fifth-inning grand slam over the center-field fence. With the victory, St. John Vianney secured its third state title in four seasons and the 10th state championship in program history.
