The Gordon Cup is one of NJ’s toughest if not the toughest hockey tournament to compete in. With every top private school throughout the state meeting for the chance to see who is the best it is no surprise the number one seed and eight seed set to face off are both in the NJ Top 20. No. 1 Don Bosco has been unstoppable this season having tied, but not lost a game for an impressive 22-0-1 record coming into Monday’s match up with No. 9 St. Peter’s Prep. The Ironmen went up 2 scores by the end of the first period and unleashed a 6 goal frenzy in the second to eventually earn a 10-2 victory over the Marauders to advance to the semifinals against fifth seeded St. Augustine on 2/14.
