The Crusaders dominated with seven pinfalls to make it seven straight state titles.  JSZ’s Jay Cook has highlights of Bergen Catholic’s dominance in Toms River:

NJSIAA Group 4 Final

Phillipsburg 35 Long Branch 21

Cody Harrison delivered a pin at 138 pounds in the opening match as the Stateliners won its first five matches to rack up 25 early points on the way to a 22nd wrestling state championship.  Jayson Zinsmeister had a pin at 145 pounds for the Stateliners who have won an amazing five consecutive state titles on the mat.  JSZ’s Jay Cook breaks down the P-burg dynasty with another stellar performance in Toms River:

NJSIAA Group-2 Final

High Point – 30 Raritan – 25

It was all Raritan early on.. the Shore Conference School won 4 out of the first 6 bouts, including pins by Anthony Aquilano and George Burdick, helping the Rockets race out to a 25-6 lead. Everything changed when High Point’s Thomas Hubmaster won his heavyweight bout and fired up his Wildcat teammates. High Point won the final six bouts to come away with a 30-25 win over Raritan and complete a miraculous comeback to capture the Group-2 State Championship. Watch the highlights and post game below.
