Former Wall Crimson Knight Tim Wright missed the 2016 NFL season due to a torn ACL.  An intense eight months of rehabilitation at Elite Sports Physical Therapy and Reach Your Potential Training has Wright ready to make a comeback

Following a three year run where he caught 13 TD passes with three different teams, Tim Wright saw a roadblock in 2016 after suffering a torn ACL during OTA’s with the Detroit Lions last May.  The former Wall and Rutgers standout chose to do his intense rehabilitation close to home with Elite Sports Physical Therapy and Reach Your Potential Training in Tinton Falls.  As he worked tirelessly every day on the road to recovery, the NFL tight end brought an infectious attitude to the high school athletes that were by his side during rehab and training.  Currently an unrestricted free agent, Wright could land back with Detroit, where he had two TD catches in nine games during the 2015 season or find a new NFL home.  The pinnacle of his career came in 2014 when he caught six TD passes for the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots.  Wright and his wife were in Houston to watch his former team win Super Bowl LI over the Atlanta Falcons.  He wanted to get a different perspective of where he was just two years earlier to help his mental mindset heading into the 2017 season.  Watch the video below to see Wright’s comeback:

Off the field, Wright is making an impact in business and philanthropy.  Last September he opened the Wright Cut barber shop on the campus of Rutgers University and he leads the Wright Way Academy with his wife in working with kids throughout New Jersey enhance skills both academically and athletically.
