Anthony Volpe could have went to the MLB Studios in Secaucus and soaked in the moment of being a first round MLB Draft pick, but he was more focused on Thursday’s state championship game and achieving the goal of winning a state title to close out his Delbarton career. It’s that kind of focus and character that should make New York Yankees fans excited for the future. Volpe was the #30 pick in the first round by New York and the Vanderbilt commit will begin negotiations on starting his professional baseball career.
