Kearny 5 St. Peter’s Prep 0 | Boys

Revenge was on the minds of all Kardinal players Wednesday night. Two goals each from both Gabe Gomez and Benjie Silva – plus great defense and goalkeeping – allowed Kearny (6-1) to avenge an early-season loss to St. Peter’s Prep (7-2). Kearny GK Alex Cruz made 10 saves in the win and Aaron Ocana logged a goal and an assist in the victory. The Marauders, who defeated Kearny 1-0 in 2OT on Sept. 13, are now in the midst of a two-game losing streak.
