Delbarton 14 Mountain Lakes 12 – Morris County Tournament Championship

It’s one of the most fierce lacrosse rivalries New Jersey has to offer and it rarely disappoints — that’s what you get when Delbarton and Mountain Lakes meet in the Morris County finals. Delbarton’s Under Armour All-American Mikey Long brought his game in the championship battle as he netted a career-best six goals to lead the Green Wave to their seventh-straight and 18th-overall county title. Summit 9 Westfield 4 – Boys Union County Tournament Championship

John Fischetti scored a hat trick and the Summit defense allowed just one goal in the second half on the way to a second straight Union County championship. The Hilltoppers raced out to a 3-0 lead in the first quarter, but Westfield rallied for two goals late in the half to get within 4-3. Fischetti’s second of the game came on a man advantage late in the third quarter and Summit put the game away with three fourth quarter goals. Summit 11 Oak Knoll 10 – Girls Union County Tournament Championship

Katia Carnevale’s dodge behind the net opened the door for her to score with :09 left in regulation to complete a four-goal comeback and give Summit a Union County title. The Hilltoppers trailed 10-7 before mounting a comeback. Anna Griffith scored three goals including the game-tying goal from 8-meters. Oak Knoll scored a 17-10 win over Summit just four days prior, but the Hilltoppers get their revenge. JSZ’s Rich Chrampanis has the highlights from AL Johnson High School:
