Fourth seed Hopewell Valley advanced to the Mercer County Tournament Semifinals with a 3-1 victory over fifth seed Allentown. The Bulldogs went to work early going ahead 3-0 following an error and a 2 RBI single from Tony St. John. Pitcher Dylan Joyce cruised into the seventh inning allowing just three hits and accumulated three strikeouts. However when down to their last out with a man on second Allentown scored on an RBI from Jack Nitti before Hopewell would force a ground out to second to end the game. The reigning champion Bulldogs will take on number one seed Hun on 5/11 in a rematch of last year’s County Title game. JSZ’s Nery Rodriguez has the highlights:
